Moving your body and being active is a given part of life, a privilege. That\u2019s just how we look at it. Ellery Beach House is a place where we always strive to move forward, whether we\u2019re running in the track, playing padel, swimming in the pool or having a late night chat in the bar.<\/p>\n

We have a total crush on padel, partially because it\u2019s a fun sport, but also because it\u2019s a great way of socializing. Choose between two outdoor padel courts, both in breathtaking surroundings.<\/p>\n<\/div>

As of today, padel is one of the fastest growing sports and can be described as a mix between tennis and squash. It\u2019s fun, fast and suits newbies just as well as pros.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Reserve your court<\/h3><\/div>

We have 3 outdoor padel courts and recommend that you book your game time early, as the courts are popular. We like to think that the sun always shines on Liding\u00f6, but unfortunately we can\u2019t guarantee good weather. If you aren\u2019t able to play due to bad weather conditions, we\u2019ll cancel your court time and reimburse you.
\nRegister at Ellery\u2019s reception before entering the court, where we also have rackets to rent and balls to purchase.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Prices<\/h3><\/div>

Off-Season (May & September-October) \u2013200 SEK<\/strong> per court per hour.<\/p>\n

Peak Season (June-August)\u2013 300 SEK<\/strong> per court per hour.<\/p>\n

Resident guests can borrow both rackets and balls from us against a deposit, which is refunded upon return.<\/p>\n

Non-resident guests \u2013 if you would like to rent a racket, this is available at an additional cost of 80 SEK per racket. If you don\u2019t bring your own balls, they are available for purchase in packs of three for 145 SEK.<\/p>\n

The courts can be reserved
all days of the week between 9am to 10pm.<\/p>\n<\/div>

THE RACKETS<\/h3>\n

Padel rackets differ a bit from tennis and squash rackets. The striking surface is full and drilled with holes made of foam of different densities. Each racket has a strap that you must wear while playing.<\/p>\n

THE SHOES<\/h3>\n

Padel shoes are similar to tennis shoes. The pattern on the soles of the shoes gives you a good grip and support for your ankles.<\/p>\n

THE BALLS<\/h3>\n

Padel balls are similar to tennis balls, but a tad bit softer and smaller. There are rules for how hard the pressure in the ball should be. If you are playing on amateur level, a tennis ball works just as well as a paddle ball.<\/p>\n

BUT WHO\u2019S COUNTING ANYWAY?<\/h3>\n

Padel is a sport that is played in doubles. The servant must be behind the service line and throw the ball diagonally onto the opposite field. However, the serve must be carried out on the side without crossing the pelvic line, not over the head like in tennis. The rest of the players can position themselves anywhere on the field.
The points of a game are counted like in tennis:<\/p>\n
