Summer in Stockholm at Ellery Beach House
Ellery Beach House. A Californian secret in Stockholm.
Just 20 minutes from Stockholm, in the city’s archipelago, there’s a Beach House that feels closer to California than to Sweden. Palm-shaded terraces, turquoise pools, frozen margaritas in the afternoon sun, long lunches at Palmers, music drifting out from the bar, and the scent of the grill carrying across the deck. It’s sun-faded, unhurried, and quietly Californian.
The rest of the summer might be full of plans. This part gets to be simple: one, two, or three nights where everything is already taken care of. All you have to do is arrive.

What’s your plan for the day?

Coco Beach Club
Coco Beach Club is where Ellery’s summer happens. Outdoor pools with a DJ, cold drinks and sun loungers lined up along the water. A sauna with its own jetty, indoor pools, and the archipelago stretching out in every direction. No reservation, no overnight stay — book a day pass and the day is yours.

Palmers Restaurant
Palmers is a modern brasserie where classic flavours meet California soul — cold martinis, oysters on ice, dinners that take as long as they like. The terrace comes alive at lunch, with crisp cocktails, wood-fired pizza of the day, and live music on select Friday evenings. In the wine bar, the sommelier opens the best bottles of the week every Friday and Saturday, with small bites chalked up on the blackboard. This is where evenings begin with something cold in the glass — and linger long after the last course.

Coco Restaurant
South American small plates and evenings that don’t want to end. Coco is Ellery’s liveliest table — food that arrives at its own pace, shared across the middle of the table, and a room where no one’s in a hurry to be anywhere else. Lunch in the tent or out on the patio when the sun is out (in a bathrobe, if you like). Dinner when the evening calls for something more. Always with the right music playing, and a cocktail within reach.

The bars
Bally Bar opens the evening with a martini before dinner, or something small at the end of the night. Out in the Courtyard, the pink food truck has become the summer’s favourite spot for an Aperol under the pergola — boules clicking softly in the background. Coco Bar takes the afternoons, poolside, with a Le Colada that tastes exactly the way it sounds. And when the lights drop and the disco ball starts spinning, you already know the place.

Activities
Do as much, or as little, as you like. Padel followed by a Pimm’s. Boules, cycling, running, pentathlon, paddleboarding. Borrow a bike and take Lidingö at your own pace, paddle out from the jetty, challenge a friend (or someone you’ll soon call one) to a match, or take on the pentathlon in the Summer Playground.

The Playgrounds
Cornhole, kubb, boules, shuffleboard, billiards, ping pong, pinball. Outdoors when the weather agrees, indoors when Sweden remembers itself. Loser buys the next round.

Sea Swims & Private Jetty
Ellery sits at the tip of Lidingö, with the archipelago at your doorstep and a private jetty waiting. A morning swim here is something else. Arriving by boat? Tie up and come ashore. Stay for lunch, dinner, or see where the evening takes you.
An experience for the whole family
Bring the whole crew.
Ellery is a dream for all ages. Young and old can let loose in our Playground, featuring shuffleboard, ping-pong, billiards and pinball – and the winner gets celebrated with a mocktail at the bar. During the summer, children aged 13 and up are welcome at Coco Beach Club during selected weeks (weeks 25–27 and 32–33). The Courtyard pool is open for younger guests, and the pier is for everyone. We offer children’s menus at both our restaurants, and breakfast naturally includes pancakes and Nutella.
